Redmenta's new assessment system: fast, flexible and in complete control
Instant scoring of descriptive questions with AI automatic evaluation Fine-tune what students can see after submission Choose automated or manual review as you wish Maintaining full educator control throughout the process Innovation in descriptive assessment, AI automatic assessment Descriptive assignments such as essays, video responses, and visual projects are essential for developing students’ critical thinking skills. These types of assignments play an important role in developing creative thinking and deep analytical skills. However, providing personalized feedback to many students has been a huge time and effort consuming process, especially in large classes. Redmenta’s AI automated assessment system solves this problem. The moment a student submits a worksheet, the AI automatically starts grading it. This process happens in the background, so educators don’t have to take any action. Depending on how you approach the assessment process, you can choose between two options: Let AI handle assessments completely automatically: If you choose this option, students will receive feedback immediately after submission, allowing them to continue their learning process without interruption. Quick feedback allows students to immediately see how they are doing and make any necessary adjustments. Review and approve AI-generated feedback, then share it with students: This option gives educators the opportunity to review AI’s assessments and make corrections if necessary. This ensures the quality and accuracy of the feedback, and the educator’s professional judgment is reflected in the final decision. The system is designed to dramatically reduce assessment time while still allowing educators to maintain control. AI acts as an assessment assistant, not a replacement for educators. This allows educators to focus more time on developing course content and guiding students. A new way to manage student feedback Updated assessment settings let you choose what and when students can see after they submit. These settings are easily found on the worksheet’s preview or edit pages, and are now more clearly organized in a section previously known as “Author Settings.” There are three options to choose from to suit different educational situations: Show confirmation only (default) - Students will only receive a confirmation message that the worksheet has been successfully submitted, and will have to wait for the educator's approval. This option helps maintain fairness in the learning environment by ensuring that answers are not shared until all students have completed the assignment. It also gives the educator time to review all submissions and make adjustments if necessary. Performance Insights - Show students their scores and percentages, but hide the details of individual assignments. This option provides students with immediate performance feedback, while preventing assignment details from being shared with other students. It also ensures quality assessment, especially since essay questions still require educator approval. Detailed Results - All results and AI feedback are immediately visible. This option is ideal for self-directed learning environments or formative assessments, allowing students to immediately assess their performance and move on to the next step. When automatic AI assessment is enabled, students will receive AI-generated feedback on descriptive questions without the need for an educator to review them. These options allow educators to tailor the timing of feedback to different types of assignments, such as quizzes, essays, and projects, while ensuring the safety of assessments by preventing students from immediately sharing their answers with each other, which is important for maintaining the integrity of the learning process. A flexible system to suit your teaching style Redmenta’s new assessment system is designed to fit a variety of teaching styles and needs. Whether you prefer automation, manual control, or a mix of the two, it can adapt. Educators who prefer automation can save time by letting AI handle the assessment process. This is especially useful for educators who teach large classes or multiple classes. The AI performs the assessments with consistent criteria, and the educator can intervene when necessary. Educators who want more control can choose to review and approve AI-generated feedback before sharing it with students. This allows educators to leverage the effectiveness of AI while ensuring the quality and accuracy of feedback.
