Padlet Micro Lessons: How to Present Effectively

Watch this microlesson to learn how to present in Padlet, including presenting and exporting a slideshow.
To start the slideshow, follow these steps:
1.
Open Padlet: Open Padlet and navigate to the desired bulletin board.
2.
Click the Slideshow button: Find the Slideshow button on your screen and click it.
3.
Navigation: Use the arrow keys or click the arrows on the screen to navigate the slides.
4.
Background Settings: The color theme is determined by the background. Each section and post is converted into an independent slide.
5.
Reflect Changes: Any changes you make in Padlet will automatically be reflected in the slideshow.
This process allows you to easily run a slideshow.
To autoplay a slideshow, follow these steps:
1.
Click the Play button: Click the Play button on the slideshow screen.
2.
Set Autoplay: Slides will play automatically based on the amount of text on each slide.
3.
Click Auto: Click the Auto button if you want to manually adjust the slide timing or loop the slides.
This will make the slideshow advance automatically.
To share your slideshow as a QR code, follow these steps:
1.
Click the QR Code button: Click the QR Code button on the slideshow screen to display the QR code.
2.
Share as a link: Open the Share panel to share your slideshow as a link.
3.
Copy Link: Share your slideshow by copying the link to your clipboard and pasting it wherever you want.
This makes it easy to share your slideshow with others.
To embed a slideshow, please follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for the padlet or slideshow.
2.
Click Embed: In the sharing options, click “Embed in your blog or website.”
3.
Choose embed size: Choose the size you want to embed and whether the slideshow will autoplay.
4.
Copy Embed Code: Copy the slideshow embed code and paste it into your blog or website.
This process allows you to easily add a slideshow to your website or blog.
To embed a padlet, please follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Click Embed: In the sharing options, click “Embed in your blog or website.”
3.
Copy Embed Code: Copy the Padlet embed code.
4.
Paste: Paste the copied code into your blog or website.
This process allows you to easily add Padlet to your website or blog.
To save a padlet as an image, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Export Options: Click “Save as Image” in the Export Options.
3.
Create Image: This task creates an image of the padlet.
This will allow you to save your padlet as an image file.
To export your padlet to PDF, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Export Options: Click “Export to PDF” in the Export Options.
3.
Select a format: Choose your preferred format: handout or slides.
4.
Adjust Page Setup: Adjust the page setup.
5.
Click Generate: Click the "generate" button to create a PDF version of your padlet.
This process allows you to easily export your Padlet to PDF format.
To export your padlet to a CSV file, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Export Options: Click “Save as CSV” in the Export Options.
3.
Create CSV file: This action exports the contents of your padlet (including posts and reactions) to a CSV file.
This process allows you to easily save your Padlet data in CSV format.
To export your padlet to an Excel file, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Export Options: In the Export options, click “Save as Excel Spreadsheet”.
3.
Create Excel file: This action exports the contents of your padlet (including posts and reactions) to an Excel file.
This process allows you to easily save your Padlet data in Excel format.
To print a padlet, please follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for Padlet.
2.
Export Options: Click “Print” in the Export Options.
3.
Print Progress: This action takes you to a screen where you can print your padlet.
This process allows you to easily print padlets.
To export your slideshow, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for the slideshow.
2.
Save slides as images: Click “Save current slide” or “Save all slides as images” to download the slides as images.
3.
Save as PDF: Click “Save as PDF” to create a PDF version of your slides.
This process allows you to easily export your slideshow to image or PDF format.
To print your slideshow, follow these steps:
1.
Open Share Panel: Opens the Share panel for the slideshow.
2.
Click Print: Click "Print" to print the slides.
This process makes it easy to print your slideshow.
To freeze a padlet, follow these steps:
1.
Open Padlet Actions Menu: Opens the Padlet's actions menu.
2.
Click Freeze: Clicking "Freeze" will prevent new posts, comments, and reactions from being added. This action will also prevent modifications to existing posts and Padlet settings.
3.
Unfreeze: To unfreeze a padlet, click the Freeze button or the freeze status indicator and select "Unfreeze."
This process will keep the contents of your padlet safe and secure.
To open a post in expanded view, follow these steps:
1.
Click the three dots on a post: Click the three dots (See more) on a post.
2.
Select Open Post: Select “Open Post”.
3.
Navigation: Use the arrows on the screen or your keyboard to navigate.
4.
Click the text panel icon: Click the text panel icon to hide or show the post body and comments.
This process allows you to view the post in more detail.
