How can I edit a short answer type task?

Learn about Redmenta's short answer question type! Here we summarize all the information you need to edit this type of question.
Short answer question type: Test takers must type in a precise answer in text format, such as a word, short sentence, number, or date.
When editing a question, you can enter instructions, answer choices, and, if necessary, upload attachments or write explanations for your answers.
You can include additional choices (e.g. synonyms, other correct answers) in the answer, and you can set whether the system should be case-sensitive or only accept numbers as correct answers. To do this, simply check the options you want (if there is no set answer, you can change it by clicking the green check mark in the top left).
The advantage of short answer questions is that the test taker is not given a set of pre-determined choices, but must enter the answer he or she thinks is correct. Short answer questions are best defined with one or two words, and are not suitable for long explanations or essays. In such cases, it is better to use the essay format.
Once you're done editing, save the question, then go to Grading Settings and enter the maximum number of points a correct answer can earn.
Tip: The system will only award points if the input answer matches the correct key exactly. It is recommended to double-check the automatic scoring results, as typos or answers that are not pre-registered in the correct key may not be awarded points. Even if the user knows the correct answer, if the answer does not exactly match the key, the user may not receive points.
