✍️ Illustrations

Vector and bitmap illustrations
There are 2 types of illustration elements in MiriCanvas: vectors and bitmaps.
Vectors allow you to adjust colors. These are good for icons or to customize illustrations to match your design.
Bitmaps are like photos, you can't adjust colors. These are good for 3D illustrations or elements with detailed textures.
Matching elements
4.1 Elements and illustrations should match the rest of your design.
For example, if most of your design uses flat illustrations, avoid using lined illustrations.
If most of your design uses flat illustrations, add matching graphics.
Lined illustrations do not match the rest of the illustrations in this design.

How to find matching illustrations

Find consistent illustrations by using Element collections. You can find collections in the Collections tab, or by clicking '...' on an element to find its collection group.

🟠 Shapes

4.2 For basic rectangles or circles, use shape elements instead of images or bitmaps.
Shapes allow users to edit colors, round corners, and stretch without the breaking ratio.
Images and bitmaps, on the other hand, can't be customized easily.
Use shape elements for boxes

4.3 Do not use use shapes to create new compositions. Instead, use premade elements available in the MiriCanvas library. Elements can be combined to create a full image. However, shapes should not be combined to create a new composition.
You can use fully finished elements like bitmaps to create new design compositions.

Go to Elements > Shape. Click on a shape to add to the canvas.
You can also round corners in the left panel.

⌇Lines

4.4 Use line elements instead of images or shapes as dividers.
Use Line elements as dividers. You can adjust the line thickness in the left panel.
Do not use Shape elements as dividers.

How to add lines
Go to Elements > Lines. Click on an element to add to the canvas.
Multiple lines
Instead of grouping individual line elements, you can use the Expandable lines element.
If you want to add text on top, ensure the text line height matches the line spacing.
Use expandable line elements instead of grouping individual lines. Adjust text line height appropriately.
Avoid using individual lines, as these are difficult to edit. Ensure your text line height matches with the lines.

Go to Elements > Lines. Search 'notepad' or 'expandable' and add an element to your canvas.

🖼️ Frames

Insert photos into frames so users can easily replace images with their own.
4.5 Never stretch frames in a different ratio, as the corner radius can look uneven. Search for a frame with a better ratio instead.
Find a frame that is set to the ratio you want.
Do not stretch a square frame into a rectangle, as this can make corner radiuses look uneven.

Go to Elements > Frames and click to add to the canvas. Drag and drop photos into the frame on your canvas.

🔗 QR codes & bar codes

4.6 QR codes and barcodes should be active links that go to https://www.miricanvas.com. Do not use illustrations as QR codes.
Use QR codes that link to miricanvas.com.
Do not add illustrations QR codes.

Go to the left manu and click QR codes. Set the URL to https://www.miricanvas.com/ .

4.7 Use MiriCanvas chart elements instead of shapes and lines to create graphs.
