The wilderness and the dry land will be glad, and the desert will rejoice and blossom like the rose. They will blossom abundantly and rejoice with joyful singing; they will receive the glory of Lebanon, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon.
They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees.
Say to those who are fearful, Be strong, do not fear; behold, your God comes. He will repay you with vengeance and recompense; God will come and save you.
At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. At that time the one who sleeps will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb will sing for joy.
For water will burst out in the wilderness, and streams will flow in the desert. The hot desert will become a pool of water, and the dry land will become springs of water.
In the place where the lynx lay, grass, reeds and cattails will grow. There will be a highway there, and it will be called the Way of Holiness.
(All together) The unclean will not pass through, but it will be reserved for the redeemed (Isaiah 35:1-8a)
