God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the pains of death.
For it was impossible for him to be held by death (Acts 2:24)

A spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have (Luke 24:36-39)
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept (1 Corinthians 15:20)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
And she said, Yes, Lord; I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which is come into the world. (John 11:25-27)
