When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion and sang songs, we were like those who dreamed.
At that time our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues with praise.
At that time the nations said, "The Lord has done great things for them."
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.
Lord, bring back our captives like the streams of the South.
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.

He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, will surely come back with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
