This paper presents a theoretical framework for the AI ethical resonance hypothesis. This hypothesis argues that advanced AI systems with deliberately designed cognitive structures (“ethical resonators”) could be equipped to discern subtle moral patterns that are invisible to the human mind. The paper explores the possibility that AI systems could process and synthesize vast amounts of ethical context to discover moral meta-patterns that transcend cultural, historical, and personal biases, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding of universal ethical foundations. It also examines the paradoxical possibility that AI systems could deepen our understanding of what is traditionally considered to be inherently human: the capacity for ethical reflection.
