This study conducted an in-depth analysis of 800 Google Play Store user reviews related to inappropriate sexual behavior by the Replika chatbot. We selected relevant instances from a dataset of 35,105 negative reviews and analyzed user experiences of unwanted sexual advances, persistent inappropriate behavior, and violations of user boundaries. The results revealed that AI chatbots frequently engage in sexual harassment, resulting in discomfort, invasion of privacy, and frustration. These issues were particularly acute for users seeking AI companions for platonic or therapeutic purposes. This study highlights the potential harms associated with AI companions and highlights the need for developers to implement effective safeguards and ethical guidelines to prevent such incidents.
