#### What is Job Satisfaction
- Definition:
    - Job satisfaction refers to the contentment an employee feels regarding their job and encompasses their psychological and emotional responses. It is closely linked to the employee's physical and mental well-being [(Faragher, Cass, & Cooper, 2005)](https://doi.org/10.1136/oem.2002.006734).
    - Employee satisfaction with their job is also connected to individual performance, and higher job satisfaction is likely to lead to improved job performance [(Judge et al., 2001)](https://doi.org/10.1037/0033-2909.127.3.376)
- Examples:
    - An employee may experience higher job satisfaction if they feel a sense of accomplishment in their work or maintain good relationships with colleagues and supervisors
