Terms of Service

BeMoon(비문), Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the BeMoon service and website (https://bemoon.co.kr).
The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between BeMoon (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and the members regarding the use of the services provided by the Company. By using the services or completing the registration process, members are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Provision of Services

The Company provides an educational platform service to support learning.
This may include problem-solving services, storage and analysis of learning records, provision of accuracy rates and learning statistics, personalized learning insights, paid subscription services (BeMoon Space), and other services additionally developed or provided by the Company.
The Company reserves the right to change or add to the content and functions of the service.

2. Registration and Accounts

Registration and login are only available through Google OAuth authentication.
The Company does not directly collect or store the member's password.
The Company may receive the member's email address, name, and profile image through Google OAuth authentication, and this information is used solely for login and user identification purposes.
Members are responsible for securely managing their Google accounts and must not engage in unauthorized use of another person's account, transfer, lend, sell, or register false information.
In principle, the member is entirely responsible for any activities that occur under their account.

3. Privacy Protection

The Company processes the member's personal information in accordance with relevant laws and the Privacy Policy.
Matters regarding the collection, use, retention, destruction of personal information, and user rights are governed by a separate Privacy Policy.

4. Member's Content and Learning Data

Learning records, problem-solving results, accuracy rate information, and other data generated by the member while using the service are stored for the member's continued use of the service.
The Company may utilize this data solely for the purposes of providing the service, analyzing learning statistics, providing personalized learning insights, improving service quality, developing new features, and research.
The rights to content such as inquiries, feedback, and error reports submitted by the member within the service belong to the member, and the Company may utilize them for service operation and improvement.

5. Paid Services

The Company may provide paid subscription services in addition to free services. The currently provided paid service includes BeMoon Space.
Free Trial: The Company may provide a free trial benefit to new members or specific members. The availability and duration of the free trial may change according to the Company's policy.
Subscription and Billing: Paid services may be automatically renewed on a regular basis through the payment method selected by the member. Payments are processed through Paddle or a payment gateway designated by the Company.
Changes in Subscription Fees: The Company may change the subscription fee in accordance with service reorganization or operational policy changes. In the event of a fee increase, a notice will be provided at least 30 days in advance via announcements or email.
Cancellation and Refunds: Members can cancel their subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, automatic billing will stop from the next billing date. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Company's separate "Billing and Refund Policy" and relevant laws.

6. Prohibited Activities

The Company is committed to providing a pleasant learning environment. To respect the rights of other users and ensure safe service operation, the following activities are strictly prohibited.
Identity theft or unauthorized use of another person's account
Interfering with the normal operation of the service
Abnormal use using automated programs (macros, bots, etc.)
Unauthorized collection, reproduction, or distribution of data or content within the service
Source code analysis, reverse engineering, or hacking attempts
Actions that violate relevant laws and regulations
Other actions that interfere with the normal operation of the Company's services

7. Restriction of Service Use

The Company may restrict the member's use of the service if the member violates these Terms or relevant laws.
Use restrictions may take the form of warnings, restriction of certain features, temporary suspension, or permanent account ban.
In cases of urgent risk such as hacking attempts, account theft, or large-scale automated attacks, service use may be restricted immediately without prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights to the content, design, trademarks, logos, software, and data included in the service belong to the Company or the legitimate rights holders.
Members may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially use them without the Company's prior consent.

9. Modification and Suspension of Services

The Company may modify or suspend all or part of the service if necessary for service operation.
The service may be temporarily suspended due to server maintenance, system updates, communication failures, cloud service failures, or other unavoidable operational reasons.
The Company will provide prior notice whenever possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable laws, the Company shall not be liable for service disruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, damages resulting from the member's own negligence, disputes between members or between a member and a third party, or damages incurred during the use of free services.
If the Company causes damage to a member through willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company shall bear liability in accordance with relevant laws.

11. Termination of Contract and Account Deletion

Members may request to delete their account (terminate the contract) at any time through the in-service features or customer support.
Upon account deletion, all data will be deleted except for information that must be retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy and relevant laws.
Data deleted after account termination may not be recoverable.

12. Advertisements

The Company may provide advertisements or affiliate content in the future for the operation of the service.
The member agrees that advertisements may be displayed during the use of the service.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
In the event of a dispute arising between the Company and a member regarding the use of the service, the competent court shall be determined in accordance with the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

14. Amendments to the Terms

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws.
When amending the Terms, the effective date and reasons for the amendment will be announced in advance.
In the case of an amendment that is disadvantageous to the member, a notice will be provided at least 30 days in advance.
If the member continues to use the service without expressing an intention to refuse by the effective date of the amended Terms, the member will be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
