STREAM Service Will Be Discontinued on Jan 26

Hello, This is the STREAM Team.
The STREAM service, which has provided various features to help anyone easily learn K-POP dance using just a smartphone, will be officially discontinued as of January 26, 2026 (Monday). Starting January 26, the app will no longer be able to properly connect to the service, even if it is launched.
If you have any videos recorded through Danmix or AI Evaluation that have not yet been downloaded to your device, please make sure to download them before January 26.
K-POP dance is a cultural phenomenon with incredible pull.
Most popular culture is meant to be watched and enjoyed, and some encourage participation—but few forms of pop culture inspire people to actively learn and participate the way K-POP dance does. Many of us have likely experienced standing in a city square, watching strangers dance perfectly in sync at a random play dance event, and thought to ourselves, "I want to try that too…" The STREAM team was deeply inspired by this unique power of K-POP dance and its ability to bring people together.
People who want to learn K-POP dance are spread all around the world.
In Korea, dance academies are well developed, but this is a unique local environment. Most K-POP fans globally learn dance on their own through platforms like YouTube. However, YouTube is a platform designed for watching videos, not for learning.
Learning dance through video requires more flexible and intuitive playback controls, as well as feedback that helps learners understand whether they are practicing correctly. We believed these challenges could be addressed through media and AI technology, and with that vision, we launched the STREAM service in April 2024.
Since launch, over 100,000 users worldwide have downloaded the STREAM app, and many have learned from the 360+ K-POP choreographies available on the platform, leaving us with highly positive feedback.
However, after operating the service for nearly two years, we came to realize that the core features we provided did not create a sufficiently meaningful difference in K-POP dance learning. As a result, the number of active users gradually declined, and it became increasingly difficult to generate the revenue needed to sustain the service.
Although we explored and implemented various options to improve sustainability, after careful consideration of multiple factors, we ultimately concluded that discontinuing the service was unavoidable.
We sincerely thank everyone who has used and supported the STREAM service over the years.
With gratitude, The STREAM Team
