Shardee Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Shardee ("the App", "the Company") operated by DIARO ("the Operator").

1. Purpose of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Shardee collects, uses, stores, and protects user information, and how we comply with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users located in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Shardee is designed with a data minimization approach. Most user-generated content is stored locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to the Company's servers.
This policy may be updated from time to time due to changes in applicable laws, regulations, or internal policies. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.

2. Information We Collect

Shardee collects only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the service.

A. Information Required for App Functionality

Shardee may request the following permissions:
Access to device storage
Required to save recorded video files locally on the user's device
User-created videos are stored only on the user's device and are not uploaded to or stored on Company servers.

B. Analytics Data (Collected only after consent in the EEA)

Shardee uses Google Firebase Analytics to analyze app usage and improve service quality.
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), analytics data is collected only after the user provides consent through a consent popup presented when the app is first launched.
Data that may be collected includes:
App usage patterns
Feature usage frequency
Screen navigation activity
Crash logs and performance data
Device model
Operating system version
App version
Approximate country-level location
Anonymous device identifiers
This data is used for:
Improving app stability
Understanding feature usage
Enhancing user experience
This information does not directly identify individual users.
Users may withdraw consent at any time through the app settings.

C. Information Collected When Using the Contact Feature

When users contact us through the in-app inquiry feature, the following information may be collected voluntarily:

Inquiry information may be processed through external collaboration tools such as Discord for customer support purposes.
This information is used solely to respond to user inquiries.
Users are advised not to include sensitive personal information in their messages.

D. In-App Purchase Information

Premium features are provided through the Apple App Store in-app purchase system.
Payment information is processed by Apple. Shardee does not collect or store credit card details or billing information.
Purchase history is linked to the user's Apple account and can be restored when reinstalling the app using the same Apple ID.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), personal data is processed based on the following legal grounds:
Consent: analytics data collection
Legitimate interests: responding to customer inquiries and improving service stability

Accessing camera or photo library when necessary to create or edit videos
Video files remain stored on the user's device and are not transmitted to Company servers

5. Data Storage and Processing Location

Videos recorded using Shardee are stored locally on the user's device.
Shardee does not operate servers for storing user video content.
Analytics data may be processed through Google Firebase Analytics and is subject to Google's data retention policies.
Customer support messages may be stored in external collaboration tools for support purposes.
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

Slashpage
Hosting help pages and policy documents. When accessing pages hosted on Slashpage, limited technical data such as access logs may be processed according to Slashpage's privacy policy.

7. International Data Transfers

Users may withdraw camera or microphone permissions at any time through their device settings.
Users may also disable analytics data collection through the app settings or device privacy settings.

Because Shardee does not store user videos on its servers, most personal data is deleted when the app is removed.

Data transmitted to external services is protected using encrypted communication methods.
