FAQ(en)

Is Shardee a paid app?

Shardee is free to download. You can use the basic features for free, including recording short clips, stitching them together, and adding captions.

What are premium features?

Premium features are available to users who purchase a paid plan or paid product.
Auto zoom in/out recording mode: Automatically zooms in or out while recording, helping you create more dynamic videos.
Layout recording mode: Record with 2-split or 3-split layout modes.
Dual mode: Record using the front and rear cameras at the same time.
Additional time buttons: Add extra customizable time buttons for recording.

I want to record videos longer than 2 seconds.

The 0.5s and 1s buttons are fixed. To record longer, move to the 2s button and tap it once more. A time adjustment slider will appear, letting you freely set the recording time from 2s to 10s.

Where are videos recorded with Shardee saved?

They are saved directly to your phone's Photos app. Shardee does not separately store, own, or keep copies of the videos you record.

What happens if I delete a video from my device?

Videos recorded with Shardee are stored only on your device. If you delete a video from your device, Shardee cannot load or recover it.

I want to change the order of clips while editing.

To change the clip order, press and hold a clip, then drag it to the position you want.

Where are rendered videos saved?

Videos created with Shardee are also saved to your device.

Is there a limit on edited video length or number of clips?

There is no fixed limit on video length or number of clips. However, using too many clips or creating an extremely long video may cause the app to close unexpectedly. For best results when stitching clips together, we recommend keeping the final video between 30 and 60 seconds.

I want to temporarily save a video I'm editing.

Tap the X button in the top-left corner to exit editing, and you will be able to save the video you are currently creating.
If you close the app after stitching clips together, your in-progress video will be temporarily saved separately.
