Who am I

About Oswarld
I'm Kwangsub Ahn — most people online know me as Oswarld.
For twenty years, I built go-to-market strategies for technology companies, including stretches inside teams like Notion. That work taught me one thing the news cycle keeps missing: a product launch is the easy part. What matters is whether the market is actually ready to absorb it — and whether the unit economics survive contact with reality.
I write from Seoul. Korea is a strange and useful place to watch the future from. Smartphone saturation hit here first. AI tooling adoption in white-collar work is running ahead of most Western benchmarks. Retail formats that look "novel" in New York have already been tested, scaled, and quietly killed in Gangnam. If you want to know what next year looks like, this peninsula is a decent leading indicator.
I'm also the author of Homo Brainless (생각을 맡기는 사람들), a book about humans delegating cognition to AI — what we gain, what we quietly lose, and what we should be paying attention to.
This newsletter is the long-form English edition of that thinking. Korea sees it first. I write it down.
