Deep Web Konek (DWK) is an independent cybersecurity research and advocacy organization based in Manila, Philippines. We are committed to exposing cyber threats, data breaches, and emerging digital risks that impact individuals, organizations, and communities.
History
DWK was founded in May 2023 by Zaki Verino, a Science Communicator and Freelance Journalist specializing in science and technology. Before officially forming DWK, Verino collaborated with several former writers and administrators of defunct Deep Web Pages in the Philippines, uniting as a collective group to investigate cyber issues and share insights.
This groundwork laid the foundation for DWK’s official establishment as an organization dedicated to making cybersecurity intelligence accessible to the public.
What We Do
Our work centers on threat intelligence, cybercrime investigations, and public awareness. We publish in-depth reports on breach disclosures, cybercrime activity, and online misinformation campaigns. While we never release raw breach data, our proof-of-concept analyses help both organizations and the public understand evolving cyber risks.
Beyond research, DWK engages in fact-checking and digital literacy initiatives to counter disinformation and strengthen online resilience. We actively collaborate with cybersecurity experts, journalists, and advocacy groups to ensure that critical information is accurate, timely, and accessible
