The bandits stole the van with bread, pastries and soft drinks at gunpoint:
Around 5:50 pm, two employees of Gafoor's Bakery were in a mobile sales vehicle, Reg. No. TCB 2152, at Acono Road, Maracas St. Joseph, near a bar when the pathway of their vehicle was blocked by another car.
A man, armed with a gun, emerged from a blue Mitsubishi Lancer, Reg. No. PCT 1915, and announced a robbery.
The two employees were relieved of $1,400 in cash and ordered out of the vehicle.
The suspect then entered the driver's seat of the van, valued at $45,000, and drove off east along Acono Road in Maracas St. Joseph, followed by the Lancer.
The vehicle also contained over $2,000 worth of bread, pastries, and soft drinks.
WPC Julien is probing the incident.
