Announcing the Seoul Startup Policy 2030: A City for Challenges and Success

Haebom
The Seoul Metropolitan Government unveiled the 'Seoul Startup Policy 2030'.
The aim is to nurture 50 global unicorn companies, support the growth of 1,000 startups, and elevate Seoul to become the world’s 5th leading startup city.
The plan also includes fostering future industries such as fintech, biotech, artificial intelligence, as well as developing robotics and advanced manufacturing sectors.
A budget of 1.6717 trillion won will be invested to drive the 'Seoul Startup Policy 2030'.
A startup-dedicated complex, the largest of its kind in the world, will be established in Seongsu, alongside the creation of the Seoul Unicorn Startup Hub (100,000㎡) and the Seoul Manufacturing Startup Hub (17,000㎡).
Expanding global startup bases and supporting the nurturing of innovative talent
We will expand Seoul’s overseas startup bases to 20 locations, including Spain and Singapore, and establish shared offices in ‘startup-friendly’ locations.
Seoul plans to build advanced manufacturing startup infrastructure to strengthen its manufacturing competitiveness, and further, will establish an additional 'Seoul Manufacturing Startup Hub' in Gocheok for hardware startups.
