The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced the ‘Seoul Startup Policy 2030’.
The goal is to foster 50 global unicorn companies, grow 1,000 startups, and become the world's 5th largest startup city.
It is also a plan to foster future industries such as fintech, bio, artificial intelligence, robots, and advanced manufacturing industries.
1.6717 trillion won to be invested to promote 'Seoul Startup Policy 2030'
The world's largest startup-oriented facility will be built in Seongsu, and the Seoul Unicorn Startup Hub (100,000㎡) and Seoul Manufacturing Startup Hub (17,000㎡) will be created.
Expand overseas startup bases and support the development of innovative talents
We will expand our overseas startup base to 20 locations including Spain and Singapore, and open shared offices in places where startups are easy to start.
Seoul City plans to build advanced manufacturing startup infrastructure to enhance manufacturing competitiveness and additionally create a 'Seoul Manufacturing Startup Hub' for hardware startups in Gocheok, Seoul.
