⚡Korea's electric vehicle charging infrastructure is overwhelmingly ranked No. 1 worldwide

Haebom
As mentioned in the article, South Korea has achieved first place in electric vehicle infrastructure among OECD countries.
Korea also ranked first in the 'charger output per electric vehicle' (kW per EV) indicator, which is key to charger performance, at 6.9 kW.
As of the end of last year, Korea's 'number of EVs per charger' (Charging Points per EV) was recorded as 2.0.
This figure is calculated by dividing the total number of electric vehicles, excluding medium and large commercial vehicles like electric trucks and buses, by the number of chargers; the lower the number, the less the charging burden. Among the 30-some countries surveyed, this is the lowest figure—far ahead of Europe (13), the world average (10), and China (8).
But, thinking from an EV owner's perspective,
As mentioned at the end of the article, there’s still a serious shortage of rapid charging infrastructure.
With fast charging, a full charge takes less than 2 hours (and you get around 430 km when fully charged).
Slow charging often takes anywhere from 8 to 10 hours.
There’s an overwhelming number of slow chargers in apartments and public offices, but for rapid chargers, you mostly have to go to private facilities.
Still, the age of electric vehicles is on its way.
Electric trucks aren’t very efficient, but they’re part of a global trend (they need frequent charging and have poor mileage).
Some people argue that rolling out electric trucks is ahead of its time—it’d be best to let the technology develop more.
For regular passenger cars, EVs currently make up 14% of all vehicles, and their share is expected to rise to 18% by 2023.
By 2030, 30% of cars worldwide are projected to be electric vehicles.
