Meta, Instagram/Facebook AI Friend interface leaked

Even before people had a chance to recover from the shock of OpenAI's GPTs, details of Meta's upcoming AI friend feature were leaked.
Facebook and Instagram users can select not only their AI friend's gender and age, but also their race and personality. For example, your AI friend might have a 'Cautious', 'Passionate', 'Creative', 'Witty', 'Practical', or 'Strong' personality. This is similar to the Knowledge and Instructions features in GPTs.
Users can choose interests like 'DIY', 'Animals', 'Career', 'Education', 'Entertainment', 'Music', or 'Nature' to shape both their AI friend's personality and the nature of their conversations. These customization options aim to make conversations with AI friends more engaging and personal. Once selections are made, users can pick an avatar and name for their AI friend and then move to a chat window to start chatting.
According to Alessandro Paluzzi, who first shared these leaked screenshots, a post creation assistant has also been added to Facebook and other platforms. This tool is built on the previously announced LLaMA 2 and will be used to enhance communities and digital profiles with a range of proprietary technologies.
