Recently, China's ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, quietly released four new AI apps: 'Cici AI', 'Coze', 'ChitChop', and 'BagelBell'. All of these apps launched in the past three months and have already racked up millions of downloads.

Cici AI: Offers chatbots in various roles, including virtual characters, girlfriends, and boyfriends. According to Google Play Store, it has surpassed 10 million downloads.

ChitChop: Provides chatbots focused on entertainment.

Interestingly, ByteDance officially announced that these apps were built using Microsoft Azure licenses and OpenAI's APIs. It's less about where the technology comes from and more about testing whether this works as a service and a business.

Recently, ByteDance introduced DiffusionGPT. As you might guess from the name, it's a text-to-image generation system based on language models.
