How does China's economic slowdown impact South Korea and Japan?

Haebom
China's economic slowdown is expected to have a significant impact on Japan as well. Since China and Japan are each other's largest trading partners, China's economic situation directly affects all of East Asia.

China's economic slowdown

China's economic growth rate is slowing, mainly due to issues with consumer prices, the real estate market, and bad loans. This situation is showing similarities to Japan's economic crisis in the 1990s.

Affected sectors

Exports: If Japan's exports to China decrease, Japan's GDP will also decline.
Geopolitical tensions: The tech war and geopolitical strains between China and Western countries are risk factors for Japanese companies as well.
Intellectual property: Japanese companies in China are exposed to the risk of intellectual property infringement.

Response measures for Korea/Japan

Diversification: We need to seek alternative trading partners so we are not reliant on China.
Technology protection: Companies must more thoroughly safeguard their intellectual property rights in China.
Economic policy: The government needs to prepare policies in response to China's economic slowdown.
Actually, in Japan, there are signs of efforts to escape the prolonged low-growth phase, but in Korea, it's still disappointing that we haven't seen that yet. In the end, our key industries need to thrive, and in Korea the momentum seems to be shifting from semiconductors and displays toward secondary batteries... which makes me feel even more strongly that we need to find new growth engines. Superconductors... ~_~
