Art Figure Commission Guide
A. 3D Modeling for Art Figure Production

Preparation of 3-View Sketches / Difficulty Assessment

• Please prepare 3-view sketches (front / side / back).
• 3-view sketches are essential reference materials for understanding the overall design, shape, and atmosphere, as well as for pre-production coordination with the client.
• If 3-view sketches are not provided, we can create them through discussion with the client (additional fee applies).
• Based on the 3-view sketches, the production difficulty is classified into Type [A / B / C], which determines the price and production timeline.
• If the character is not symmetrical (left-right), please prepare 4-view sketches (front / left side / right side / back).

Prototype Model Creation

• 3D modeling begins based on the 3-view sketches, followed by prototype creation.
• Changes in pose or addition of details not present in the original 3-view sketches during the prototype stage will incur additional charges.
• The final output size of the model (height in mm) is determined.
• For ease of post-processing and painting, a minimum height of 150mm is recommended.

Final Modeling / Part Division

• Modeled results are shared via images, and revisions are made based on client feedback.
• Revisions focus on improving quality according to the client’s requests and do not include major pose changes or extensive detail additions.
• Painting methods (brush or airbrush) are discussed, parts are divided, and joints are created accordingly.
• Upon completion, high-quality Blender-rendered images are sent for final client approval.
• The finished 3D model is provided as an STL (.stl ) file.
B. Complete Art Figure Production

3D Printing / Sanding

• Default: High-precision resin SLA printing.
• SLA prints require sanding to remove visible layer lines for smooth painting and high-quality finish (sanding included by default).
• Repeat the process of sanding → Applying surface filler to smooth and level the surface of the SLA prints.
• Upon request: PLA filament FDM printing available (separate pricing)
• Sanding service is not provided for FDM prints.

Painting / Finishing

• Mask the necessary areas → Final application of Surfacer/primer
• Create color chip → Color chip approval from client
• Painting with brush/airbrush → Clear coat finishing
• Sufficient drying time (minimum 1 day per stage) is ensured between each step.
C. Commission & Payment

Commission

• Final quotation is divided into Part A (3D modeling) and Part B (physical printing & painting).
• Clients may choose to commission only the desired part(s).
• 3D modelers can commission only the part splitting and joint design work.

Payment

• Payment for commission must be made in full upfront due to the nature of the project.
• Payment is processed via PayPal.
• Shipping fees are separate and charged at actual cost.
