I went to EDGEUP CRE8TORS Homecoming Day!
Edgeup Cre8tors is a program that discovers and invests in promising startups together with The Invention Lab and major LPs such as Umi, Aju, and Kookbo Design. It was a meaningful time to grow with teams that showed potential in various fields through the first term in 2023 and the second term in 2024. 😊🙏🏻

Recently, it launched the beta version of "Sophie," Korea's first AI-based automated commercial real estate research service, attracting attention as an innovative solution for the commercial real estate market, which is plagued by severe information asymmetry.

On this Homecoming Day, we conducted a mini-interview with Mithril's CEO, Jo Jeong-Hyeon.
We heard about what they felt while participating in the Edge Up program and their honest advice for junior startups.
Q. What results did you achieve through the EdgeUp program? "Thanks to the EdgeUp program, we were able to conduct a PoC with a factory under the Aju Group, which significantly contributed to our technological advancement. Having a major company like Aju as a client allowed us to build a reference base and even connect with investment and promotional opportunities."

Q. What benefits have you personally experienced? "More than anything, providing services to large corporations and key partner companies has been most meaningful. While investment connections are certainly important, I believe it's crucial for startups to receive direct feedback from the market and validate their effectiveness."

Q. A word of advice to aspiring startups! "Don't rely solely on your technological prowess. Gain exposure to the market, gain quick feedback, and assess your readiness and tangible results. If the opportunity presents itself, I encourage you to actively pursue it!"

Although it was a short interview, the CEO's experience and practical advice made me realize that this program goes beyond simple support, connecting with real-world growth, networking, investment, and marketability validation. I hope more startups will use this opportunity to explore new possibilities! 😊
In conclusion
In an era where we can no longer live without AI, AI is no longer simply a data processing tool; it is now a core technology that solves social problems and makes people's daily lives more convenient and safer. Going forward, AI is expected to further integrate into diverse industries, including education, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and entertainment, enhancing the quality of life and driving innovation.
