Our Story
In August 2019, Cory and Chelsy were introduced through their sweet mutual friend, Emily, at a wig party in Austin, Texas. Chelsy's blue wig stole Cory's heart while Cory's Davey Crocket hat left Chelsy in a daze.
The two remained friends throughout the following months and began a courtship in March 2020, as the world was shutting down. They joked their rapidly developing infatuation was a symptom of Stockholm syndrome but alas, they we're wrong. Cory and Chelsy made the best out of lockdown by exploring every waterfall, hike, and lake they could find during those months.
In September 2020, the couple left Austin to pursue their next chapter. Cory moved to Fresno, California and Chelsy split her time between Alligator Point, Havana, and with Cory in Fresno. The couple loved hiking the Sierras and enjoying Cory's scenic home state of California together and with friends and family.
In January 2022, the couple moved to Havana, Florida to complete Cory's redneck transition. They spent the year traveling, spending time at Alligator Point, enjoying time with family and friends, adding a fur baby named Breece to their lives, and deciding where their next move would be. That October, the couple moved to St. Petersburg where they continue to exercise their love of nature, new experiences, and good food.
On September 22, 2023, Cory proposed to Chelsy at Alligator Point. He surprised her with a photographer who captured their special moment followed by a beautiful celebration where he rented out houses to accommodate family. The following month, the couple closed on their first house and has been making it a home ever since.
We are fortunate to have many loved ones spread out all over the country. We look forward to bringing everyone together in one of our favorite places to witness and join us in celebrating this next chapter of our story.
