Hello UCSD Community! Big news from Habitat for Humanity at UC San Diego! We're making some significant changes to our organizational structure to enhance our impact and efficiency in addressing housing needs in our community. 🔸 New Operational Model: We're shifting to a project-based operational model, allowing for more focused and efficient project management for each new home build. 🔸 Integration of Technology: We're integrating advanced project management and communication tools to streamline our workflows and enhance collaboration among our team members and volunteers. 🔸 Increased Collaboration with Local Organizations: We're establishing stronger partnerships with local housing and community development organizations to amplify our impact and resource sharing. 🔸 Enhanced Volunteer Training Program: We're rolling out a new, comprehensive training program for our volunteers, focusing on construction skills, safety protocols, and leadership development. These changes are designed to optimize our operations, engage our volunteers more effectively, and ultimately, serve more families in need of affordable housing. We're excited about this new chapter and how these changes will help us build stronger communities together.
