Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence is a foundational document in the history of the United States, officially adopted on July 4, 1776. It was primarily authored by Thomas Jefferson, with contributions from other members of the Continental Congress. The declaration marked the formal separation of the thirteen American colonies from British rule, leading to the creation of the independent United States of America.
The Declaration of Independence had a significant influence on French Revolution, as the both the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen and the French Declaration of the Rights of Woman and of the Female Citizen.
