Storms of Life
A man looks over the horizon, hand shielding his eyes from the afternoon glare. What he sees he knows all too well. A cloud rushing his way bringing unforgiving rain and a tumultuous storm that has know fear, doesn’t even know what fear is. All it knows is the command of its lord. What does he do? Exactly what man has done for years, decades, take cover and pray for his survival. Pray that all he has attained in his miserable life doesn’t find its end, its destruction in the path of destiny...Sometimes these storms that we face are literal, sometimes figurative, but no less painful and trying. Some will survive, some won’t. Some will experience a death so severe, it will feel as if the pains from it will never cease. The storms that have plagued man since his humble beginnings have been looked upon in a vast number of ways, by many different perceptions, mind types, cultures, and a plethora of religions and religious like folk. Some saw them as the anger of one or more of their heathen gods. Others called them bad omens etc... The wise... What do they call them and how do they treat them??? The wise call them a blessing from Allah. When they gaze up at the sky, awestruck by what there gaze has fallen upon. They have been constant in their message, never deviating from the path. The storms of truth, they are called as such because they "never was to make there Lord into a liar, they always come with the truth and never exceed the limits and bounds set by Allah,,, but, know ye this, these servants never fall short either of their duty. Now, when I speak of death, I’m speaking of a spiritual death and a death of the heart, mind, and soul of a being. May Allah save us from this. For the sake of legalities, in this writing I will refer to initials or nicknames and because I believe that the most wicked of people can become the best and the best of people can become the worst. May we be the best of mankind. Ameen...So, having been pre warned, if you step out into the night storm without the proper attire and become drenched to the bone and washed away in the flash flood of debauchery, then goodie, You had fore knowledge, and chose not to take heed. A story such as this is so challenging to tell because I know not what angle to attack the writing from. I guess starting at the beginning would be logical but in this case not so much, in being that there is no ending as of yet, starting there isn’t even an option.
