# 5 Research papers analyze and comparison

Today I analyzed 5 different researches about procrastination and age’s relationships.

**SUMMARIZE IN RESEARCHES**

- The Prevalence, Predictors, Causes, Treatments, and Implications of Procrastination Behaviors in General, Academic, and Work Setting

About several detentions in procrastination due to the environments and age range. Where I focused was the part comparing adult’s and student’s procrastinations. 

- Differences in procrastination and motivation between undergraduate and graduate students

Research about differences in procrastination of undergraduate and graduate students. The result was overall procrastination was high in undergraduates but specific procrastinations like perfectionism procrastination was higher in graduates.

- School Engagement Trajectories and Their Differential Predictive Relations to Dropout

The research analyzed the factors found in drop out students. I picked this research because I thought not regulating study habit can be referred to procrastinations. 

- Procrastination and the Priority of Short-Term Mood Regulation: Consequences for Future Self

General and Life-Domain

The research claimed that the behavior of procrastination was an action to throw away responsibility to the untrue self and showed negative perceptions on procrastination. 

- Procrastination in Highly Educated Adults in Israel

This specifically researched highly educated adults in Israel but get result that even highly educated people tend to procrastinate. 

**SIMILARITIES **

**Variety in detentions of procrastination**

Majority of researches mentioned variation in the type of procrastination and factors that meditate procrastinated behavior in different detentions.

**Negative effects of procrastination**

The negative claim through procrastination was common in decrease in work ability, stress and anxiety, and loose in academic successes. Though some of them also mentioned positiveness like working best under the pressure.

**Importance in prevent**

Most of researches also explained to have achievable goals , simple time planning habits, and haven highly motivative works on preventing procrastination.

**DIFFERENCES**

**Focusing groups**

The major differences btwn researches were focusing groups cultural, age, and domain.

**Goals**

The goal also wasn't only focused on procrastination but more of adding explanation in procrastination to find certain factors or results.

**Methods**

There was various methods like cross-sectional survey, longitudinal, growth mixture modeling.

**CONCLUSION **

The five researches told me differences in deletion of procrastination and change of form in procrastination due to the investing groups. The group is not only separated in age range but by many factors like culture, education classes, or just small differences likee undergraduates student and graduated students.
