# Procrastination and stress: Exploring the role of self-compassion.

Procrastination and stress: Exploring the role of self-compassion, had high credibility as a research paper and numerously cited by other research papers regarding to procrastination. So I thought it is the time to read a paper with high credibility even though the overarching theme is little bit different. 

The key point of this paper was proving self compassion as a element mediates positive correlation between procrastination and stress. Hypothesis was  that the procrastination and stress has highly positively correlated and as the self compassion is lower, the higher this phenomenon occur because self compassion is taking a role of mediating two. 

The method of finding result was testing 4 independent types of groups to take survey in measuring GPS, SCS, and PSS each and comparing. 

The result was that procrastination and stress has positive correlation, while procrastination and stress both having negative correlation with self compassion.

The research highlights the importance of self compassion in curing procrastination due to the stress. They also warned the vicious cycle in procrastination : because of low self compassion, stress increase, as stress increase, there are likely to procrastination important thing, and the self compassion gets even lower by the self blame in not completing the task.
