The paper I would like to review today is called Trajectories and influencing factors in adolescent procrastination behavior throughout the COVID-19 pandemic: a four-wave prospective longitudinal study. The research was based on 4 waves of survey staring at 2020 June to 2021 October with over 1000 Chinese students. The overarching point of the article was to find impact of COVID-19 through childhood general procrastination. Over the 4 waves of surveys they took, procrastination slowly increased and mark the peak point on the third wave. This could be the evidence of rising in procrastination in COVID pandemics. Not only that they found the rising graph in procrastination, they also categorized types of procrastinators in adolescents into 3 types: low increasing, high decreasing, and moderate stable according to the statistic in rising/decreasing in procrastination patterns. Last but not least, they analyzed factors contributes to the results such as over parenting, screen time, and little or no work out. The solution they recommended to stop or decrease procrastination was to have adequate environments in family, lower screen time down to 3 hours, and have exercise 3 times a week. My opinion through out this paper was that COVID pandemic, especially in developing online classes, had gave us the importance in parental care in child's behaviors which shouldn't be over parenting but should have adequate emotional links between family.
