3. How to use automatic subtitles
1.
Upload video
Upload a new video to Padlet.
The system automatically processes the audio and generates subtitles.

Activate subtitles
Click the settings icon (gear) in the video player.
Select the “Subtitles” option.
Select your desired language.

After selection, subtitles will appear at the bottom of the video.

5. Technical Background
It was developed in the process of improving 'Safety Net', an automatic moderation feature of Padlet.
We first built a script generation tool for video uploads, then integrated it with the video player to implement subtitle functionality.

Audio file support : Automatic subtitles for standalone audio files are planned to be added
Language Expansion : We plan to continuously expand the number of supported languages.
7. Precautions
The accuracy of auto-generated subtitles may not be 100%, so important content must be verified.
Errors may occur in special terms or proper nouns.
