Book Creator is an educational e-book production platform that allows you to easily create and share multimedia digital books (e-Books) by combining text, images, audio, video, and pictures.
Basic concepts
•
It's available on web browsers (Chromebook, PC, Mac) and iPad apps, and you can start using it right away without any separate installation.
•
Choose from a variety of layouts, including Portrait, Landscape, Square, and Comic, and then drag and drop text, photos, videos, audio recordings, and drawings onto the pages to create a book.
•
Completed books can be shared as an online link or exported as ePub or PDF.
Key Features
•
Create multimodal content : Freely combine typing, handwriting, taking photos, recording voice, inserting videos, and embedding YouTube and Google Maps on a single page.
•
Over 900 Page Templates : Templates designed for K-12 classrooms let you quickly build without having to start from scratch.
•
Real-time collaboration : Multiple students can access and edit a book simultaneously, making it ideal for group projects.
•
AI Assistant : AI assists with writing, image generation, automatic translation, and more. Instantly translate text, audio, video subtitles, comments, and entire books into over 100 languages.
•
Over 130 accessibility features : Built-in speech-to-text, text-to-speech, dyslexia-specific fonts, alt text, PDF reader, and more, so even special needs students can participate.
•
Student Portfolio : By collecting books created by students into a personal portfolio, they can accumulate and record their growth process as they advance through the grades.
•
Library & Central Library : Books can be organized and shared by class, school, or district, and administrators can also distribute shared materials aligned with the curriculum to the entire school.
•
Assign a Book : The teacher creates a template book and distributes it to students. Each student receives their own copy, fills it out, and submits it. This allows the assignment to proceed in a structured manner.
•
Comments/Feedback : Teachers can leave text, video, or audio comments on students' books to provide personalized feedback.
Utilization in K-12
•
Digital Storytelling : Students write, draw, and record their voices to create their own storybooks and fairy tales. Even lower elementary school students can participate by recording their voices and drawing.
•
Curriculum Projects : Create subject-specific outputs in book form, such as science observation journals, biographies of historical figures, social studies area survey reports, and math problem-solving books.
•
Reading activities : Create and share reading reports, book reviews, character analyses, plot reconstructions, etc. in a multimedia book format.
•
Comic Books : Using a comic layout, we create comic books that recreate historical events, explain scientific concepts, and express social issues.
•
Portfolio : Collect your work and learning achievements from the semester or school year into a single portfolio book to use in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and parent consultations.
•
Special Education : Accessibility features enable students with learning disabilities and language barriers to express themselves and participate in their own way.
Use at universities
•
Interactive Lecture Materials : Professors create multimedia teaching materials combining text, images, audio commentary, videos, and graphs and distribute them to students. These materials simultaneously accommodate a variety of learning styles (visual, auditory, and reading).
•
Student Projects and Reports : Develop expressive skills and digital literacy by producing research results, case studies, portfolios, and more as multimedia books instead of simple text reports.
•
Accessible Presentations : Instead of traditional slides, use interactive presentations created with Book Creator, which automatically support screen readers, translation, and voice guidance, making them accessible to all students.
•
Collaborative publishing : We also offer projects where each student writes a chapter to create a collaborative e-book.
Fee structure
•
Free Plan : Each teacher can create one library (up to 40 books) and use basic features.
•
Paid Plan (School/District Level) : Includes unlimited library and books, AI features, student portfolios, a central library, an administrator dashboard, and LMS integration (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schooling, etc.).
