Police Officer In Penal Car Accident

The incident happened just after 8 p.m. while three officers were inside a marked police pickup on mobile patrol along Penal Rock Road.
The vehicle was reportedly proceeding north along the roadway when the unknown vehicle, was bring driven in the opposite direction with its high beams on.
The same vehicle also swerved into the path of the police vehicle, the three officers reported, and the driver of the squad vehicle pulled to the side to avoid contact with the other vehicle, which caused the officer driving to lose control of the van.
The police vehicle crashed off the roadway into a muddy ditch and was subsequently wrecked and taken to the Penal Police Station.
The three officers were taken to the Siparic District Health Facility by their colleagues, where they were treated and discharged.
Sgt. Boodoo is probing the incident.
