# Ingredients

| Name | Metric (g) |
| --- | --- |
| MCT oil | 100 |
| Gum Arabic (GA) | 100 |

> Please use only tools and containers made of stainless steel or glass.
The ratio is 1:1 by weight, not volume. Be sure to use a scale.

# Instructions

1. Begin by placing the MCT oil into a large bow.

2. Next, add the Gum Arabic (GA) in three parts while continuously whisking the bowl.

3. Break up large chunks and give it a final mix.

4. Finally, transfer the finished powder to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry place.

# Tips

- If you want to consume 5g of MCT oil using this powder, you will need to use 10g of the powder.

- Gum Arabic (GA) is also known as acacia fiber, but they are slightly different in how they are made. Just play it safe and buy Gum Arabic. I purchased French 100% Gum Arabic from Naver Shopping.

- Gum Arabic may improve BMI, decrease fasting blood glucose and HbA1c in prediabetic and diabetic patients. (Source: [http://dx.doi.org/10.18502/sjms.v16i3.9703](http://dx.doi.org/10.18502/sjms.v16i3.9703))

- It may not apply to homemade MCT oil powders, but commercial MCT oil powders are usually made using spray-drying technique, encapsulating MCT oil thereby increasing oxidative stability and provide antimicrobial activity properties to the oil.
