The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's manga One Piece has actually been discussed for quite some time, but has fallen through every time.
However, production was decided in 2017, and distribution and investment through Netflix were confirmed in 2019.
Casting confirmed and script completed in 2021, filming to begin in 2022

This time, a new poster has been released, revealing the first ship the main characters of the One Piece series ride, the "Going Merry".
Filming concluded in August 2022 and is currently in the final editing stages ( link ).
Season 1 consists of 10 episodes and contains the East Blue scenario, and the original author Eiichiro Oda also participated in the script.
