Google Bard, starting a counterattack? Proposal of new usage through extension function

Google Bard now integrates with Google apps and services to provide more useful responses. This allows Bard to find and display relevant information from Google tools such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Flights, and Hotels. (Google has expanded the concept of Plug-ins in ChatGPT into the concept of Extensions that existed in Chrome and other products.)
Bard Extensions: This is a new way for Bard to help you find the information you need across multiple apps and services.
Ex) When planning a trip, Bard can find dates that work for everyone in Gmail, check real-time flight and hotel information, get directions to the airport with Google Maps, and even watch YouTube videos.
Ex) You can ask them to find a resume written in June 2023 in my Google Drive and summarize it into a short paragraph about themselves.
Privacy: The content of your Gmail, Docs, and Drive is not visible to human reviewers and is not used to show ads or train Bard models.
"Google it" feature: Easily double-check Bard's responses. Click the "G" icon and Bard will read the response and rate the content on the web.
Persistent conversations with others: When someone shares a public link to a Bard chat, you can ask the Bard additional questions about the topic or start your own ideas.
Additional information
These new features are possible thanks to an update to the PaLM 2 model , which has been trained to be more intuitive and imaginative.
