This paper analyzes the structural crisis arising from the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) conferences, using data to diagnose it, and proposes a new model for sustainable, inclusive, and resilient AI research. It identifies four key challenges: excessive publication rates, environmental impact, negative online discourse, and increasing attendance. It also highlights the unsustainability of the existing centralized conference model. As a solution, it proposes the Community Federation Conference (CFC) model, which coordinates peer review, presentations, and networking globally but organizes locally.
