Bard changes name to Gemini and launches paid plan

Since Google launched Bard last year, it has received a variety of feedback. It has been compared to chatGPT in many places and has continued to pursue changes through functions such as Extention and Duet. However, it seems that it has not actually secured many constant users. In the meantime, Google has released a new LLM Gemini.
At the heart of this update isn’t just a rebrand, but that Google is introducing a new AI subscription tier via Gemini. Gemini Advanced gives you access to the latest and greatest AI model, Ultra 1.0, which emphasizes that whereas Gemini used the Pro model, Advanced uses a model with enhanced inference capabilities. According to Google, in blind user evaluations, Gemini Advanced said it was the most satisfying chatbot compared to existing alternatives (chatGPT, Claude, etc.). Based on the Ultra 1.0 model, Gemini Advanced is said to be much better at complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and collaborating on creative projects. (I can’t be sure about this yet, as I haven’t used it much.)
Gemini's Expansion and Availability
Gemini and Gemini Advanced are available today in 40+ languages and 230+ countries, and are now part of Google One’s AI Premium plan, starting at $19.99 per month with a two-month free trial. AI Premium subscribers will soon be able to use Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and more.
However, the current price for payment in Korea is 29,000 won.
Prior to launching Gemini Advanced, we conducted extensive trust and safety testing, including external red teams, and further refined the base model through fine-tuning and reinforcement learning based on human feedback, with numerous preemptive measures to minimize political bias/hate speech.
Advanced is currently accessible in the English version. If you set it to Korean, please note that it will be accessible as a regular Gemini (Pro)!
