Will it be possible to put a certification mark on creations made by AI?

Haebom
DeepMind has partnered with Google Cloud to launch a new tool called SynthID, now in beta. This tool digitally watermarks AI-generated images so they can be identified.
Introducing SynthID: SynthID is a tool designed to identify AI-generated images, especially those created by DeepMind’s latest text-to-image model, Imagen.
Digital watermark: This technology embeds a digital watermark directly into the pixels of the image, making it unnoticeable to the human eye but still detectable.
Risks and Countermeasures: While AI-generated images can inspire great creativity, they also risk spreading misinformation. SynthID helps mitigate these risks and lets users know when the media they're interacting with was created by AI.

Key points

The significance of digital watermarking: Traditional watermarking methods aren't enough to clearly identify AI-generated images. SynthID was developed to address this issue.
AI ethics and responsibility: SynthID offers a way to responsibly manage AI-generated content, reflecting DeepMind and Google Cloud’s approach to developing AI responsibly.
Potential for future development: SynthID may also be applied to other AI models and formats, such as audio, video, and text.
