"Video conferences fall short compared to in-person meetings." - ZOOM CEO
Haebom
Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, in a company internal recording, asked employees to come into the office at least two days a week. While it's a request anyone could make, the issue is that it came from the head of a company that had become synonymous with videoconferencing and remote work.
This has become a topic of discussion after a recording was released in which he said that Zoom’s platform makes it hard to build trust among employees and fosters too much closeness, making effective conversation and debate difficult.
This statement was made at a company-wide meeting on August 3, 2023. Likewise, many other tech companies are also moving from remote work back to office attendance. This trend is happening domestically as well.
