External Trigger Effect

Definition
An External Trigger is when information about the next action is inside the prompt. In other words, guidance or hints about what the user should do next are provided from outside the prompt.
Explanation
For example, an example of an External Trigger would be to state “Go to next page” next to a “Next” button. This makes it clear to the user that clicking the “Next” button will take them to the next page. Another example would be to add a brief description next to a required field in an input form to let the user know that they need to provide the required information.
Importance
External Triggers allow users to clearly understand and act on what to do next. This improves usability and makes it easier for users to interact with the interface.
