Recently, there seems to be an increase in pseudo-experts who are talking about AGI... AGI is actually easy. OpenAI and Google are showing steps that are truly in line with the AGI philosophy. When I look at people who have suddenly appeared in the AI field recently, I don't think they have a realistic understanding of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and a deep understanding of its achievability. I say this not because they are excellent, but because they are the only ones with the infrastructure to do this right now.
As Sam Altman said when he came to Korea, AGI focuses on improving education and the lower class and improving the quality of life for all of humanity. It literally becomes an AI that can be used generally (universally). This proposal sounds great and idealistic, but it is not yet tangible. For now, it is a conceptual term.
AGI is currently a hypothetical entity, and although there are many companies that are trying to achieve it, its possibility has not yet been proven. Also, the definition of AGI is not widely agreed upon among industry experts, and there are various opinions and predictions about it, but of course, there is no clear answer as to how close we are to achieving AGI.
