Microsoft Enterprise Copilot costs $30 per month, with Office 365 subscription fee not included.

Microsoft’s new AI assistant, Copilot, was developed to bring innovation to the business world. This tool is offered through the Microsoft 365 platform, and it’s designed to perform most of the tasks you could ask a business assistant to handle. For example, it can summarize video calls, draft replies to emails, and turn Word documents into PowerPoint presentations.
Copilot is set at $30 per user per month, which represents a 60% price increase compared to the most premium Microsoft Office suite license currently at $50. Still, many companies believe this investment is worthwhile, expecting Copilot to speed up their work, enhance their knowledge, and even eliminate some tasks entirely.
Copilot marks the latest milestone in Microsoft’s effort to lead enterprise adoption of generative AI. The company has already invested billions of dollars in OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, and recently reported $56.5 billion in revenue—a 13% increase from the previous quarter. After these results, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella remarked, “We are using this AI inflection point to redefine our role.”
While Copilot holds a unique position in today’s market, competitors like Google and Amazon are also making significant investments in AI. In this competitive landscape, Copilot gives businesses the chance to fully harness the power of AI, and many companies are eager to test out this technology and assess its value for themselves.

Questions to consider:

What are the main features of Copilot, and how could these features affect business operations?
Copilot is priced significantly higher than existing Microsoft Office suite licenses. How could this pricing influence companies’ decisions to adopt the service?
Besides Microsoft, companies such as Google and Amazon are also heavily investing in AI. How might this competitive landscape affect the future advancement and adoption of AI technologies?
It seems that AI is now moving towards boosting productivity or providing greater personalization. I'm curious about Google Duet’s pricing policy.
