# Meads Mill Debate Club

###  Fostering Friendships and Confidence since 2021

The Meads Mill Debate Club was created in the aftermath of COVID. When returning to classrooms students struggled with a range of important skills from friendship to projects. This was caused by a lack of self-confidence and public speaking exposure due to quarantine. Many students were discouraged from joining other clubs due to a variety of factors from cost to competitive atmosphere. Our club serves a welcoming environment of learning for everyone

### Our Core Rules

1. No bullying is tolerated. If you bully someone you will be kicked out of this club. This club is meant to be a refuge for people who want to gain confidence in a chill atmosphere.

2. Everyone will be included in all activities.

3. All feedback is personal and constructive

4. To do one's best to have fun and improve!

###  About the Club

Our club provides a casual environment to learn the foundations of public speaking, standard, Lincoln-Douglas, Congressional, and Group Debate. We debate a wide range of topics to improve general knowledge. Members will be eased into talking more fluently and confidently in front of others
