A literary figure dies. Or dead. We start mourning the loss. It is the intellectual bankruptcy kind of mourning. Are we afraid of not having someone to quote or hold the bearing flag to take us there? To show us the land. A loss of life is death. The mourning is there. The mourning was not about death. It was about the missing case. The missing case of what the person stood for. The missing case is where we find our efforts too little to embrace or celebrate. The mourning is we miss it in us. There shall be no mourning if you have it in you for the talent you possess or practice. The mourning of missing the celebratory status or not being able to inspire a generation is a loss.
