The various psychological healing techniques I had learned over the years naturally surfaced, weaving together like a vast net that embraced my heart. Breathing practices I had encountered in meditation, attitudes toward observing emotional wounds, methods of forgiveness and acceptance, and ways of viewing myself and others with loving eyes—all came to mind one after another. These techniques bloomed naturally, as if they were seeds that had been waiting within me for ages, existing for this very moment, healing my heart. I hadn't forced them to surface or pulled them down; they simply arose on their own as I opened myself.
