Charlie directly reads data from the Apple Health app.
Your step count in Charlie is 100% synced with the data stored in the Health app. If you have wearable devices linked to the Apple Health app, Charlie will have access to that data as well.
Does Charlie work with smart watches (ex. Apple Watch)?
Yes. As long as your wearable device is linked to the Apple Health app, steps recorded with the wearable device will be automatically reflected in Charlie it as well.
Please make sure your wearable device is properly connected to the Health app.
My step count in Charlie doesn't match the actual number.
Charlie uses the step data from the iPhone Health app.
If your steps aren't showing correctly, please check that both permissions below are enabled:
The Health app automatically combines steps measured by your iPhone and your Apple Watch. During this process, the total step count in the Health app may adjust and decrease slightly.
When that happens, Charlie's step count will also update to match the Health app's data.
