Task: Choice of two: 

1. write own poem + rationale (300words) TECHNIQUES & WHY, no longer than 35 lines, 40 max, min 4 lines, audio rec

2. video recorded

    1. voiceover of reading of poem in list

    2. cannot be poems studied in class

    3. read poem BUT must be with visuals (EDITEDIN)

- +300word rationale how images support/reflect techniques used by author

Eg.

THe night sky cried and howled

in my video, i shouldhave an image of a stormy night 

in my rationale, i should explain how the stromy night reflects the imagrey used by the poet 

dream deferred

alliteration

Poem made up of stanza

Harlem - mainly black suburb in NYC

denotation - put on hold 

stanza 2- series of answers to prev question, connected with OR

connotations - nonliteral ideas

“fester” connotes disease
