After Reading the story, I…
I wonder what would have happened if they did end up exchanging contact information, would they rebuild their relationship or will nothing change?
If i could give advice to the characters or author, I would encourage

Unreliable Narrator -an unreliable narrator is a character who tells a story with a lack of credibility.
denouement - the climax of a chain of events, usually when something is decided or made clear. - eg. any confrontation scene
antithesis - the rhetorical contrast of ideas by means of parallel arrangements of words, clauses, or sentences (as in "action, not words" or "they promised freedom and provided slavery") eg. “Man proposes, God disposes."
motif - a distinctive feature or dominant idea in an artistic or literary composition.
litotes - 1. ironic understatement in which an affirmative is expressed by the negative of its contrary (e.g., you won't be sorry, meaning you'll be glad ).
